Workshop and fieldwork of the Meramed project completed
The 2-day workshop in the MERAMED project was held at IMBC in Heraklion, Crete on 28 and 29 June 2001. The workshop adopted finals plans for fieldwork, including site selection and protocols for field sampling and disinfection.
MERAMED's first sampling trip, visiting 8-9 different fish farms in various regions in Greece was carried out on the IMBC's Research Vessel PHILIA, immediately after conclusion of the Workshop. The more detailed field studies for WP3 will continue at selected sites until 15. August.
